Terms

This page covers what you buy from nova-nevedoma.com. It was last updated on 19 October 2026.

Who · We · Are

nova·nevédoma is a one-person literary press, run by a sole trader in the United Kingdom.

E-mail: [email protected]

The proprietor’s legal name and a postal address are given in the email that brings your payment link, and to anyone who asks.

Signed · Copies

Ordering

The order form asks for your name, email, postal address and the edition you want. Sending it is a request, not a purchase. We reply by email with a payment link, and the contract is made when you pay. Until then either of us can change our mind, and nothing is charged.

Price

The prices on the form include postage: in pounds for UK addresses, in US dollars for everywhere else. The amount on the payment link is the amount you pay. Printed books are zero-rated for UK VAT, so there is none to add.

Outside the UK, your country may charge import tax, duty or a handling fee when the parcel arrives. Those charges are set by your country and its carrier, are paid by you, and are not part of our price.

Etsy, · And · The · European · Union

Signed copies are also sold through our Etsy shop, to readers anywhere. Readers in the European Union can still use the order form: we reply with a link to the book on Etsy instead of a payment link. Since July 2026 every small parcel entering the EU pays customs duty on top of import VAT, and Etsy collects the VAT at checkout, so it is not charged on the doorstep. Depending on the carrier, the duty may still be.

Delivery

We post the book ourselves once you have paid, within 30 days unless we tell you otherwise when we send the payment link. The special edition can take longer, and the form says so. If a parcel has not arrived when it should have, write to us.

Changing · Your · Mind

You can cancel within 14 days of the day the book reaches you, for any reason. Tell us by email that you are cancelling; a short message is enough. Then post the book back within 14 days of telling us. Return postage is yours to pay, unless the book was faulty or not what you ordered.

We refund what you paid, including the original postage, within 14 days of receiving the book back, or of you sending us proof that you posted it if that comes first. The refund goes back the way you paid. We may deduct for any loss in value caused by handling the book more than you would in a shop.

A copy with a personal dedication is written for you alone, so it cannot be cancelled once inscribed. Your rights if it is faulty or damaged still apply.

Faulty · Or · Damaged · Books

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a book must be as described and of satisfactory quality. If yours arrives damaged or faulty, write to us with a photograph and we will replace it or refund you, and pay for any return. Nothing on this page limits those rights.

Patron · Subscription

The patron subscription (£5 a month) is sold to you by Link, LLC, a Stripe company, as the merchant of record, under its own terms. It renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page with “manage your patronage”; you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for. Questions about payments and refunds go to Link, and we are happy to help: write to us.

Books · From · Other · Shops

Ebooks sold through Gumroad and printed books sold through IngramSpark, Amazon or a bookshop are sold to you by that shop, under its terms. Delivery, cancellation and refunds are handled there. If something goes wrong and the shop does not help, write to us anyway.

Complaints · And · The · Law

If something is not right, write to [email protected] and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep the consumer protections of the country you live in.

How we handle your personal information is in the privacy notice.
